Homes For Sale In Woodford County, Kentucky

Woodford County has a rich history in the development of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Established as one of the nine counties of the Commonwealth in 1792; the original boundaries followed the Kentucky River from Mundy’s Landing, (located on Woodford County’s southern tip), north to the Ohio River and then east to the mouth of the Licking River at present day Covington.

Today, encompassing more than 123,000 acres of the world’s finest agricultural land, the County boasts the largest total farm income in Kentucky -- largely due to our significant equine industry. Woodford is unique, here is why; known for our picturesque countryside, rock lined fences and love for all things bourbon, wine & bloodlines, Uniquely Woodford County provides an unforgettable experience of life in the Bluegrass, world class bike trails, zip line, horse & hiking trails and family team building activities at our Life Adventure Center, a regionally acclaimed community theater, a railroad museum, quilt trail and many seasonal festivals, and you will find eclectic shops and antiques, delicious restaurants and charming B&B accommodations with open doors and arms full of hospitality. 23 of the Breeders cup winners have been bred from Woodford county. Woodford is home to Midway college campus and KCTCS campus.
